Oct 16th, INFORMS: Prof. Hidalgo-Gonzalez will be giving an invited talk on some results from the long-duration energy storage project funded by the California Energy Commission.
Sep 28th, Re:WIRED GREEN 2022: Prof. Hidalgo-Gonzalez will be giving a talk at Re:WIRED GREEN 2022 organized by WIRED magazine in San Francisco, California. She will be discussing three stages to achieve resilient energy systems. Watch the video here!
Sep 14th, UMERC + METS Ocean Renewable Energy Conference: Natalia Gonzalez and Paul Serna Torre will present our wave energy work titled “Revenue Analysis of Regional Electricity Markets in the Unites States.”
Sep 7th, NREL Human Dimensions of Energy Systems workshop Prof. Hidalgo-Gonzalez will be giving an invited talk on P. Serna Torre and P. Hidalgo-Gonzalez “Decentralized Optimal Power Flow for time-varying network topologies using machine learning” as well as planned collaborative work on environmental justice with the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine.
Aug 8th, IEA PVPS webinar with ISES: Prof. Hidalgo-Gonzalez will be giving an invited talk some results from the long-duration energy storage project funded by the California Energy Commission.
Jul 12th, CEC public workshop: Prof. Hidalgo-Gonzalez alongside Prof. Sarah Kurtz will be presenting preliminary results from their collaboration “Role and value of long-duration energy storage in Western North America.”
PSCC 2022: Paul Serna Torre will be presenting our paper “Decentralized Optimal Power Flow for time-varying network topologies using machine learning” and Prof. Patricia Hidalgo-Gonzalez will be presenting M. Wu et al. “Effectiveness of learning algorithms with attack and defense mechanisms for power systems.”

Jan 21st: IEEE workshop: Convex Optimization and applications to power systems Prof. Patricia Hidalgo-Gonzalez and Paul Serna Torre will hold a virtual workshop for the IEEE Chapter at Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco.
